About The Salon

The Tucson Writers Salon is an informal series of free mini-workshops with host Tiffany Hawk and acclaimed guest authors. Over a cup of coffee or a cocktail at one of Tucson’s coolest cafés, we’ll talk craft, publishing, and the writing life before giving you a fun writing assignment of your own. Arrive with a pen and paper and leave with inspiration and a new community.

My essays and stories have appeared in such places as The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, National Geographic Traveler, StoryQuarterly, and NPR’s “All Things Considered.” I live in Tucson with my husband and our two kids.
