How Traditional Publishing Works
The path to getting a book traditionally published is not easy, but it is straightforward. In less than 4 minutes, I’ll give you the rundown. Then in the text below, I’ll point you to additional resources to help you get started.
Hi I’m Tiffany. I’m the author of Love Me Anyway (St. Martin’s Press), a darkly funny novel about coming-of-age at 35,000 feet, which was inspired by my former life as an international flight attendant. My stories have been published in The New York Times (read my Modern Love story here), National Geographic Traveler, and GQ, among others.
I also teach and coach other writers privately and through in-person workshops at Stanford.
My students have landed literary agents, traditionally published with big New York houses and smaller literary presses, self-published, won awards, and seen their stories in places like Harper’s, the Los Angeles Times, Today.com, Ms. Magazine, and The Atlantic.
